In 2016 we used the time to tour 14 different National Parks. This was a great trip with many different impressions, but showed us what is out there, and where we wanted to get back to again. The tour needed a lot of preparation, as just as an example the National Parks campgrounds open 6 month ahead for reservation of the campsite. So in order to get the spot you want, you need to be ahead of the game. Especially traveling during peak season makes it mostly impossible to show up at a campground without reservations.
